Maputaland Bush Camp – Exclusively yours!

September 9, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Every December we rent out our whole camp to one group for an fixed amount per day. This year it will be R3000 per day.

We prefer to cater for our guests, but during the long South African school holidays we allow a group of guests to book our whole camp for a fixed amount per day selfcatering. If you and your friends wish to have an exclusive venue for an extended holiday this is your solution. The house comes fully equipped with everything you think you might need. Just bring your own snorkel gear. We have solar panels for lights but no other standard electricity. We use gas stoves and fridges and use the generator only during the day for anything else.

The camp small bushcamp that sleeps ten people or up to 12 if sharing. The main house has two loft rooms and there are another 2 chalets. These bush style huts have a onsuite shower and toilet.

We have stables with horses on site.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFO:
Because of the unique diversity in culture and nature (marine and on land) this region is a protected area and you will find that most accommodation establishments are located far from the beaches where development is not allowed so it is important to know that you will drive to the various beach everyday. We are 4 km away from the beach.

You will also need permits to visit the beaches. This is R15 per vehicle and R20 per Adult

The location of most places is such that you can only reach them with a 4X4 vehicle. This means that there are no supermarkets nearby. Provisions can be bought in Manguzi 10-20km away depending on where you stay.
